Friday the 18th. the Danish stock exchange was informed that Sanistål A/S has sold the main activities of its daughter company Carl F International a|s, namely the d line activities to a consortium represented by the company 2XPetersen Industry A/S. The sale is limited by a few issues to be cleared over the course of the next week. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase sum, but conclude that all negotiations have been conducted in good faith and to the satisfaction of both parties.
2XPetersenIndustry A/S is owned by the former Managing Director of Carl F A/S Mr. Hans Christian Petersen and the current Sales Director of Carl F International a|s, Mr. Frederik Petersen. Both of whom have many years of experience with d line and together with the consortium of strong national and international investors will be a powerful owner of d line. The sale is structured as a sale of assets and activities, including the takeover of some international subsidiaries. Sanistål A/S will continue the sale of the c series collection as well as a number of other exclusive and private label brands.
Furthermore the activities of d line Handrail and Signs will continue unchanged to be handled by Carl F India and d line UK Ltd. This will be under a license agreement with the new d line company. The development of Fit in 7 seconds will continue with Carl F International a|s but the new d line company will have a license agreement for the sale of Fit in 7 seconds in connection with their products.
New d line company
01.07.2010 the takeover of the d line and collection of IKONS assets and activities will be complete, at this time the new company d line as will be founded and continue the activities. ALL running orders, quotations and any other activities regarding the d line (excluding Handrail and Signs) and collection of IKONS brands will be taken over by the new company; therefore you do not need to take any action to secure the safe delivery of your orders, or the security of commitment to running activities.
Much of the competent staff you know from Carl F International today will follow to the new d line company, both nationally in Denmark as well as internationally. Unfortunately the takeover and focus on fewer brands will also mean a restructure of the company where not all staff from Carl F International a|s will follow into the new company.
With d line as, we wish to create a strong niche company where the further development of the d line design in collaboration with Knud Holscher Design will be our main objective. We will narrow our product portfolio to fewer product ranges and variations but create a deep product range where we can offer TOTAL SOLUTION´s for the door and bathroom.
The key to our success will be a new service concept where we break down the barriers of our current organization and focus on the service demands we see from the market, across all levels of our organization. This new service concept will introduce new ways for us to do customer service as well as introduce new tools for you to work with d line on a day to day basis – more on this later.
